RADA Technical Courses: FAQs answered

  • Our training is truly vocational, giving you the practical skills you need in your future career
  • RADA offers you tailored-made training for all stages of your career. Our Technical Theatre and Stage Management course gives you grounding in all key technical areas, from lighting design, scenic art and costume to stage management and prop making, while our specialist courses allow you to build on your knowledge of a highly specialised area.
  • RADA technical courses receive public funding, so our tuition fees for UK students are set by the government and are no more expensive other higher education courses
  • All eligible students can apply for a student loan from their Local Education Authority
  • Bursary support is available for technical students to assist with the cost of living in London
  • All of the graduates of our specialist courses have found employment in their specialist areas within one month of graduation
  • 98% of our Technical Theatre and Stage Management graduates have gone straight into employment with the remaining 2% undertaking further training
  • Our technical courses are only 4-6 terms in length, getting you in to the workplace faster
  • You don't need any formal qualifications to be accepted on to one of our technical courses, but need to demonstrate your intellectual, creative and practical abilities
  • Our students come from all backgrounds: straight from school, after a degree or in order to change careers and from across the UK and the world

Please note there are no RADA scholarships for short courses

No previous experience is required for these courses, but numbers are limited, so please apply early.
